Happy March!! As I write this I am sitting on my back porch and the sun is shining, bird are singing, it is a beautiful day! These are the days I have been waiting for.
Let me tell you about my week.
Monday - I met a new friend at Louie & Honey downtown Winston-Salem off W. End Ave. Such an amazing little place that is EXPANDING!! So exciting. As much as all their baked items looked amazing I just got a cup of coffee, but don't kid yourself. I have had their cinnamon rolls before and they are a must! So if you haven't been before make sure you go intending on getting one. I met with Kendall Sharpe, co-owner of Sharpe Designs with her husband Kaylan. Later that evening I did a high school senior session at Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, NC. This was so much fun! He brought his dog & some football gear to celebrate his senior year. I can't wait to hear where he decides to go to college this Fall. Check back on the blog for his featured session.
Tuesday - The morning started off with a session at Tanglewood Park for an author. I am very excited to get my hands on his new book which is a crime thriller. I am stalking his website waiting to see if updated with his photos. The evening wrapped up with a chat with some ladies who are attending our upcoming Small Business Retreat!
Wednesday - This was my husband's birthday! We went out to eat with the entire family which is very unusual but also a treat. Then we headed to Ketchie Creek are go to place for dessert. One of the many things I love about Ketchie Creek is that the one in Clemmons, NC is open until 7:00pm. That makes for a perfect stop on the way home.
Thursday - I met with a baker, Alison Lewis at The Factory in Mocksville, NC Thursday morning. She owns a bakery called Little Queen Confections. As you may know Thursdays are my coach call and then I ended the night at Davie High School for my son's band performance. It was spectacular.
Friday - Maxden sprained his ankle Thursday afternoon so Friday he was still hurting. We had him stay home, so my husband stayed with him as I had a few appointments that day. Appointments = nails :-)
Saturday - Luckily his ankle was feeling better because we had tickets to go snow tubing Saturday at Hawk's Nest in Boone, NC. It was super windy but we had a good time. I even ran into clients of mine! My husband and son, Camden went to a fishing tournament that day and they won 2nd place! After we went snow tubing we ate lunch at Macado's in Boone, NC. I went to school at ASU so this was a place we often frequented. However, Boone itself has changed so much since I went to school there. It was still nice and we enjoyed visiting.
Sunday - I love Sundays! I usually sleep in a little & go for a walk which is what I did. I met up with a friend Sunday morning. Bayden & I also played pickleball for the first time in months! I missed that. We are looking forward to playing a lot more in the coming months. Later that evening I had 4 sessions as I am working on a few projects for high school senior photos.
So that was my weekly wrap up -- behind the scenes at M.Gioeli Photography!
