When this sweet family booked their session, we hit the timing just right. The Bradford Pear trees were in full bloom—and let me tell you, they were absolutely magical. These trees don’t always bloom consistently from year to year, and when they do, the moment is fleeting. Add in the soft golden glow of evening light, and we had the perfect backdrop for a joyful, love-filled session.

Now, if you’ve ever been around Bradford Pears, you might know they have a bit of a reputation for, well... not smelling their best. That’s thanks to sulfur compounds in their blossoms—an evolutionary trick to attract pollinators like flies. But thankfully, during this session, the scent wasn’t too strong. We got all the beauty with none of the funk!

This family brought so much warmth and love to their session. I always enjoy capturing those little in-between moments—the way a hand is held, a glance is exchanged, or a small smile sneaks in.
