There is something truly special about being invited into a family’s home to document the arrival of a new baby. It’s an honor to witness and capture the love, excitement, and tender moments that come with welcoming a new addition.

Two years ago, I had the privilege of photographing this sweet family when they welcomed their firstborn, a beautiful baby girl. Now, I had the joy of returning to capture her as a proud big sister, snuggled up with her brand-new baby brother. It’s amazing to see how families grow and change over time, and getting to be a small part of their journey is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

Photographing a two-year-old alongside a newborn comes with its own set of challenges. At this age, independence is strong, and everything happens on their own terms (and usually involves a lot of “no’s” along the way!). But that’s also what makes this stage so special—pure, unfiltered emotions, curiosity, and the sweetest little moments that happen when they least expect it.

During this session, we embraced the unpredictability of toddler energy, letting big sister take the lead while capturing the in-between moments that tell the real story of their growing bond. From tender forehead kisses to playful giggles, every image reflects the love this family shares.
